Jake Studer

Director, Railroad Finance

Jake Studer is Director of Railroad Finance at Mickelson & Company, where he leads the monetization of federal and state tax credits and oversees the analyst team that processes rail tax-credit transactions.

He brings more than 15 years of progressive finance experience across financial planning & analysis, accounting, and leadership. Before joining Mickelson & Company in 2026, Jake managed end-to-end financial planning and analysis for Pitney Bowes’ transportation and corporate administrative segments. He also spent more than a decade at The Good Samaritan Society, performing complex analyses of senior-care operations to create new revenue opportunities and expand service delivery while optimizing resource use.

Jake holds a B.S. in Economics from South Dakota State University, where he also played baseball. Outside of work, he officiates collegiate basketball. He and his wife, Katie, have two children, Camden and Adriana.
