Jason Searl

Jason has assisted Mickelson & Company over the last decade in the placement of our suite of tax credit products.  He has an extensive background in energy and commodities risk having held a Series 3 license and managing large energy portfolios.

A graduate of Marquette University, he began his energy career at Koch Industries and then moved into the renewable fuels sector in 2000 where he held leadership positions at Poet, the largest ethanol producer in the world.  Since 2015 he has advised several companies in energy and commodities risk, M&A, and business strategy development. 

Jason is active in several non-profit, faith-centered boards. He and his wife reside in Wichita, KS, and have a great love of their five grown children and their travel adventures, where he works on his German language skills.
