Justin Bentaas

Justin Bentaas focuses on grant writing and state tax credit programs, contributing to infrastructure funding growth at Mickelson & Company.

Justin joined Mickelson & Company in February 2023 and brings over a decade of experience in economic development and government affairs. Before coming to Mickelson & Company, Justin served as the Government Affairs and Research Manager at the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Director for the City of Granite Falls in Minnesota.

Justin directs grant writing and state tax credit strategy, working with clients to navigate infrastructure funding programs that drive growth.

Justin received a BS in Political Science from South Dakota State University. He is a member of the 33rd Class of Leadership Sioux Falls.

Justin is happily married to Kelsea and has a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in snow skiing, rock climbing, and backpacking. Traveling and relaxing by the lake is his go-to way to recharge and seek new experiences.
