Nick Scott

VICE PRESIDENT

Nick supports business strategy and growth at Mickelson & Company, leading tax credit placement and buyer network development across the broader tax credit market.

Nick joined Mickelson & Company in 2025 as Vice President and serves as a strategic partner at the intersection of business, finance, and tax.  He leads the buyer network and tax credit placement process, driving business development and growth.

Prior to joining Mickelson & Company, Nick spent nine years with PwC, including three years in Germany, followed by five years at Grant Thornton, where he led the Midwest tax and transfer pricing practice.  He then spent seven years at Bunge, leading global transfer pricing and large-scale supply chain initiatives, including three years in Amsterdam.  Most recently, he served as Senior Economist in the Tax and Transfer Pricing unit at the U.S. Department of Treasury. 

Nick is also an active private investor in commercial and residential real estate.  He holds a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.  Nick and his wife, Kara, have been married for 22 years and have four children: Jacob, Joey, Noelle, and Caroline.
